DICE CHESS TOURNAMENT DURRES ALBANIA
Join the DICE CHESS TOURNAMENT in Durrës, Albania on October 10, 2025, starting at 11:00 AM at the Grand Blue FAFA Resort Hotels***. The event uses a Swiss system with 7 double rounds (two games per opponent, 14 games total) and a 5+5 time control (5 minutes per game plus a 5-second increment per move). Tie-breaks will be decided by Buchholz and then Improved Buchholz. The tournament is open to all players, regardless of age or level and participation is FREE.
The International Organizer Seminar will be held 11–12 October 2025 at Grand Blue FAFA Resort Hotels, Durrës, Albania, hosted by the Albanian Chess Federation with FIDE WOM under the FIDE Events Commission (EVE) to train organizers on FIDE regulations; led by lecturer Ozgur Solakoglu (TUR) with assistant Anastasia Sorokina (AUS), the English-language course (max 20 participants) costs €100, runs Sat 10:00–13:00 & 14:00–16:30 and Sun 10:00–13:00 & 14:00–15:30, and ends with a final exam (15:30–16:30) for the EVE IO norm certificate; topics include Events, Title and Rating Regulations, tournament organization, fair play and event management, with free entry for the first 10 registered women and 2 nominees from the Albanian Chess Federation
